Retractable. If you want an awning that you can fold or roll when not in use, then you should buy a retractable awning. This is also like a stationary awning, the only difference is that you can retract it when the wind is too strong or when the snow is falling heavily.
Motorized. This awning uses a motor and a remote so that you can retract it even if you are inside the house. If it is raining, you will not get wet because you do not need to go outside just to retract it. Some awnings even have sensors that can sense the weather and can automatically retract itself depending on the kind of weather.
